Walking in Another’s Sandals

~~~
If we could walk in another’s sandals,
If we could get inside their head,
When it comes time for criticism,
I believe nothing would be said.
 ~~~

 Show me suffering that I might know their pain;

Show me sorrow that I might know their loss;

Show me hopelessness that I might know their defeat;

Show me misery that I might know their despair.

 ~~~
  1. Very nice Butch. Great thoughts!
  2. I try very hard to remember, when someone does something annoying, like cut in front of me in line or drive erratically in front of me or travel 10 miles below the speed limit in front of me for 30 miles when I can’t pass that I do not know what they are going through at that moment and to act accordingly. It is not always easy though!
  3. I often think about this, when I find myself feeling judgmental about someone’s behavior/choices/etc. How would I see differently, if I saw through the other person’s eyes?
  4. Very nice, Leroy. And an excellent message.
  5. And this is why I am grateful for all my own scars, for it has made me much more compassionate of my fellows!
  6. Beautiful and powerful message!
Thank you for your thoughts.
