The God of the Bible has become a “back pocket” God to many Christians. He is conveniently there when needed, right next to the credit cards. An all-powerful God has been reduced to “in case of emergency” or “if all else fails.” Credit cards are reached for before God is called upon. A faith in God’s provisions is professed as the credit card is used to satisfy a want.
God asks us to trust Him…not our own abilities…not credit cards.
He knows what you need.

Therefore take no thought, saying,
What shall we eat?
What shall we drink?
Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
(Matthew 6:31-33)

Although this was posted a week ago…thanks, it was right on time. God bless you.
Very well said. In the past, I usually reached out to God when I needed Him, needed help with something I couldn’t fix. Now I try to reach out to our Lord and thank Him, ask for guidance, and faithfully pray, not just when things are out of control.
Reaching out to connect with your spirit, and the spirits of all other believers, in seeking Him first–always!
Well said.
It couldn’t be said any better. Excellent post, Butch.
Much wisdom here, LeRoy. Thanks for the reminder.
Amen. ALL these things. Awesome.
