Not everyone who preaches is called.
Not everyone who is called to preach is preaching.
Not everyone who preaches relies upon the Holy Spirit.
Not everyone who preaches, believes.
Not everyone who quotes scripture is a believer.
Not everyone who believes, quotes scripture.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:12-13 NKJV)

Yes, all of these things go both ways! Great reminder! ~ Sheila
Amen!!!
Very wise.
Amen and Amen.
So very true!
Amen to this!
Well said. There are a few people I would like to forward this to but that would be ungracious … but it is tempting!
The Word of God is indeed the Great Divining Rod to find the Living Water (or not) in each of us. Let us use this Word in spiritual discernment every hour!
So well said. Maybe also … Not everyone called to be a pastor holds the title of Reverend. Ya know?
tis true, tis true! Well said Mr Butch!
Amen and again I say….Amen!
So true and why we, just like the Bereans, must test the teaching and preaching by the Holy Spirit and against Scripture – a good reminder Butch!
Thanks-
Bernie
