“Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour.”
(1 Peter 5:8 NLT)
Satan is defeated, but he can still have a tremendously defeating effect on Christians and non-Christian alike. He will do his best to keep you from being saved and if he can’t accomplish that, he will do everything he can to defeat you from being effective as a Christian.
Don’t take Satan lightly, because that’s exactly what he wants you to do. Satan attacks in subtle ways. He wants you to pay him no mind. He loves it when you don’t take him seriously. He appears as an angel of light and can have you accepting counterfeit in a moment. Don’t be blindsided by his deceitful ways.
“He (Satan) was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44)
We are no match for Satan. Our only defense is God’s truth. To know the truth, you must read His word. It is the last thing Satan wants you to do. Satan attacks through the mind. “I don’t have time”, I don’t understand what it says”, “I..I..I..”
Satan will convince you that there is no need to read the Bible, if you let him. Satan will isolate you, feed you full of lies, and thereby defeat you as a Christian, if you let him. Either your mind will know God’s truths or Satan’s lies…the choice is yours.
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
(John 8:32)

amen……not only does the truth set us free…..it is a gift that we should want to read as much as we can……

Treasury agents are trained to recognize counterfeit money, not by studying bogus bills but by studying the real thing. Good lesson for us believers.
Keep the Faith!

Amen. And the enemy of our souls hates being exposed about who he truly is — a liar and a defeated foe. Amen to being overcomers in the Lord and through His Word and Truth and by His amazing grace that enables us to ‘stand’ against all the devil’s wiles…(Ephesians 6:10 -22; Romans 8: 37, and Revelation 12:11) Blessings and victory on your day and week! In Him, Sue
