…Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NLT)
Jesus is saying goodbye to the apostles and explaining why He must go. “I have overcome the world” is an assurance that every Christian needs to know and remember, every minute of every day. We wander through this world…it is not our home. There are things we do not understand…there are things we do not know.
We will have trials and sorrow in this world, but He has overcome the world. What more can you ask to know than that? Take Heart!
