One Nation Under God

Every nation, everyone and everything is under God.

God is the Creator, not the created.

God is the solution, not the problem.

“One nation under God” does not indicate a nation that believes in God.

“One nation under God” does not indicate a nation that follows God.

Look at what is popular in a nation…is it according to God’s word?

Look at what is practiced in a nation…is it according to God’s word?

Look at what is accepted in a nation…is it according to God’s word?

“One Nation under God”  “In God We Trust”

Words and slogans are outwardly impressive.

Read and hear a phrase long enough and you begin to believe it.

In the sum of things, it is not what a nation thinks, but what God knows.

“For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV)

  1. You have hit the proverbial nail on the head, Butch.

  2. Our deeds speak louder than our words. Those who say “Lord, Lord” but do not care for His people speak hollow words. Thanks for this post, dear wordsmith.

  3. In ’85, a somber air rose within me, that of the demise of our country. The once shining star among nations, blessed by God, was falling to earth, in a flaming spiral, the tail smoking as it hit the ground.

It is now 2012, the dying embers smolder, almost gone. What God created, man has sullied and turned into cinders. It is almost time…

I stand at attention, I salute the once proud nation, I thank God for His blessings and ask His forgiveness for our ingratitude…and the tears flow…the heart weeps…and the spirit fails.

O America, America, may God have mercy on thee! Amen

Thank you for your thoughts.
