Nothing is Hidden

The Lord looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race. From his throne he observes all who live on the earth. He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do. (Psalm 33:13-14 NLT)

When the tendency to hide, to bury, to conceal, to withhold, to misrepresent, to lie, to cover up, to be less than honest crosses your mind, something is wrong.

Your conscience is speaking to you. You know in your heart what you are thinking, doing, saying is wrong. You may convince others, but you know…and God knows.

  1. If one practiced the Presence of God, aware of Him in every room, every conversation, how different might be our attitudes?

  2. So true, and this is actually quite freeing (for me). One of my biggest struggles is insecurity. It is often a great comfort to know that God knows me intimately–every sin I’ve every committed, every fear, every struggle I face–and yet, loves me anyway. It frees me to come to Him without hesitation, unveiling my heart and my struggles, so that He can make me whole, remove my sin, and mold me into His likeness. I read somewhere intimacy is the continual unveiling of one’s self with diminished fear. Because of the cross and God’s infinite knowledge of us, we have the opportunity for ever-increasing divined intimacy. :)

  3. Hey Butch, I just went to FB to wish you a Happy Birthday tomorrow, but it shows you deleted your page. So, from here I wish you a very happy birthday tomorrow.

  4. God knows…most assuredly! Thank you, Father.

Thank you for your thoughts.
