The body is dust and to dust it will return, but the soul of man will never die. Many deny that fact. They believe that dead is dead. Their thoughts rise no higher than the grave. They live to themselves and they will die to themselves.
Then, in that first moment after death, they will realize their soul is alive and they are very conscious of this “after death” existence. They will also realize that they have entered eternity without God. For them, eternal hell has begun.
A decision against God in this life is binding after death. Only, in this life, by your own choice, can a decision against God be reversed.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

… Only, in this life, by your own choice, can a decision against God be reversed.
And, thanks be to GOD for that!!
What an outstanding message. Thank you,
Thank you, Butch…a great post.
I am always humbled when I think about who I am…dust…nothing but dust molded into the person I am. Though I am dust, it is only by the breath of God (His Holy Spirit) that I am anything at all. Who are we, mere vessels of earth, so small….so insignifcant, to ever attempt to sit above God and command Him as to what to do? Yes, we are smaller than the smallest of ants are to us in God’s sight; yet He intimately knows us, and loves us. It is only in Christ that this nothingness of a mold called me becomes something….like the ugly cocoon that is broken when the beautiful butterfly emerges, flapping her wings, spreading the beauty of them far out for all of the world to see!
When we think of the butterfly, it is born first a worm, then it goes forth into its second womb, the cocoon…then comes out beautiful! We are also born first from the womb of our mother, then this life is the second womb…it is in this life where we are creating our eternal life in heaven….every day, growing spiritually..maturing…and nurturing ourselves with the Word of God.
Only when we die, or God willing, live to the return of Christ, will be break free from this ugly, confining cocoon called flesh and spread our spirtual wings as we kneel before the throne of God in humble praise! Amen!
