The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void;

and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said…” (Genesis 1:1-3)

The first three verses in the Bible speak of the Holy Trinity; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. The Creator spoke the universe into existence; creating something from nothing.

“In the beginning, God…”speaks of the Father: “And the Spirit of God…” speaks of the Holy Ghost: “And God said…”is recorded several times and speaks of God the Son…the Word. In the first three verses, the Holy Trinity is proclaimed…three persons in one; a mystery to be believed by faith.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”(John 1:1-3)

In the first three verses of the Gospel of John, God the Son is spoken of regarding the creation of the world. The Word, who would be given by the Father to die for your sins and mine; the Word, who would be baptized by the Holy Ghost; the Word, who brought light into darkness was in the beginning with the Father and the Holy Ghost. The mystery of the Holy Trinity is to be believed by faith because God said…
