I Never Seen “Old” Coming

Through the eyes of youth,

Old is someone else,

Wrinkled and worn.

It’s my parents,

My grandparents…

Not me.

Through the eyes of age,

How wrong could I be,

Wrinkled and worn.

It’s not my parents,

Nor my grandparents,

It’s me.

  1. “Old” is 20 years older than me. Always. :-D

  2. It’s okay. Life is love and that includes all written above. Cherish our moments. When the moments end…it’s God’s wish and love.

  3. We are the old folks we used to talk about.

  4. Haha, so true–ouch–hits too close to home.

  5. You said it better than I could ever express it! Awesome!

  6. ME too!
    God Bless

  7. This is so poetic and true!

  8. Except for the worsening eyesight and random unexpected aches, I’m okay with this getting older thing. Every day is one day closer to Jesus, as far as I’m concerned. ;)

  9. They are wrinkles of wisdom and gray hairs of grace. I wear them proudly!

Thank you for your thoughts.
