Peace in the Midst of a Storm

Life can be beautiful, as someone said. Life can, but the reality of life comes with pain and heartache; disappointment and failure. Like the weather, there is sunshine and there is rain. Some do well; others do not.

Life can be difficult, as someone knows. Hopes and dreams can end up in the dust of trying; defeat can cloud ones tomorrows. The joy of living can become a struggle.

Living can be hard enough, but living without hope in Christ must be the definition of insanity. Troubles do not always disappear, but He is with you in them.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid . (John 14:27)

  2. “Hopes and dreams can end up in the dust of trying; defeat can cloud ones tomorrows.” Years of believing, and nothing happening, the humanness in me has moments of doubt and sadness.
Thank God, those moments pass and belief is restored.

  3. A little over a year ago I lost my husband. The pain is still so raw, without faith it would be unbearable.

  4. “Living can be hard enough, but living without hope in Christ must be the definition of insanity.” You hit the nail on the head with this one. I tried it and I know this is so true – living without Christ in my life was the most depressing, most hopeless state of existence I’ve every experienced. Thank God for second chances!

  5. Little Things of Life

So very true! Philippians 4:6,7 are my “life verses” and have gotten me through many storms. Real peace comes only through Him!

  6. Peace in the midst of a storm! That’s really the peace that exceeds human comprehension.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7).

Thank you for your thoughts.
