It’s Okay, My Friend

It’s okay, my friend from long ago,

Not to be as close as we were then.

Our different paths have taken us

To where we are today.

It’s okay, my friend from long ago,

To disagree more than we did before.

Life’s experiences give us the views

That we believe today.

It’s okay, my friend from long ago,

To walk together as we did then.

Our different thoughts won’t separate

The friends we’ve always been.

It’s okay, my friend from long ago,

To stop and visit now and then.

This place, this stone that marks my rest,

For friends will always remember when.

  1. Very nice words as always. Thank you.

  2. Brought a few people to mind this morning. Views to change, especially if one has accepted the Lord, but friendships can still exist. Time to rekindle some.

  3. Wow..gr8 words my friend …Thanks for this superb thoughts…I really love my all friends a lot!

  4. Beautiful thoughts and words this morning – really got me thinking. Thank you:-) Also, a little tug on my heart to make the extra effort to “visit” with my old friends that have drifted away, due to “life.” Blessings to you and your family…and to all your friends from long ago!

Thank you for your thoughts.
