Rainy Days and Mondays

“Rainy days and Mondays always get me down.”

Words from a song recorded by the The Carpenters in the ’70’s.

Good group; good song; sad message.

Self-talk (what we tell ourselves) is important.

Tell yourself “rainy days and Mondays always get you down;” they will.

“I’m not looking forward to…; I hate it…; I’m not any good at…; I can’t.”

We program ourselves for success or failure by words and thoughts.

We believe what we tell ourselves, even if it isn’t true.

After all, we wouldn’t lie to ourselves, would we?

How’s your self-talk on “Rainy days and Mondays”?
