The Silence of Peace

cropped-2641.jpg

He lets me rest in green meadows;

he leads me beside peaceful streams.

(Psalm 23:2 NLT)

In our world today, there is a greater “rumble” of busyness than ever before. We tend to hurry here and scurry there, somehow trying to win an imaginary race that takes place between sunrise and sunset. Many scurry on into the night.

If we would only stop this endless motion and take back our lives. If we would only find a quiet place beside a small brook, even if it’s only in our minds; listen to the calming silence and hear the beating of our heart…finding peace.

I pray for you, a peaceful weekend.

Shalom!

    So true. I want to go back to the easy days before voicemail, where you figured 8 rings on the telephone and the person you are calling is not home. Mental note to try back later.

    I no longer scurry….more like walk deliberately!
