Walk the Walk

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (NKJ)

John 3:17 says, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (NKJ)

“Love one another!” (John 13:34-35 NKJ)

Love not just those who are easy to love, but everyone.

Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:10 NKJ)

People are not what they do. Labels are the work of Pharisees and hypocrites.

How do you forgive a murderer…ask God, for He does. How do you deal with adultery…ask God, for He does. How do you love a homosexual…ask God, for He does. How do you love everyone…ask God, for He does. If you choose to follow Him, then He expects you to do the same. The road is narrow and difficult. Jesus walked the road that each Believer must walk.

We would be wise to take a deep breath before we utter criticisms and judgments. We would be wise to open our minds and thoughts and guard our mouth. We would be wise to be quick to listen and slow to speak. We would be wise to study all the scriptures about love…about the answer to why God sent His Son to die on a cruel cross. We need to walk the road that Jesus walked. We need to walk the walk.

Wonderful, edifying, encouraging thoughts, “How do you forgive a murderer…ask God, for He does. How do you deal with adultery…ask God, for He does. How do you love a homosexual…ask God, for He does. How do you love everyone…ask God, for He does.” To me, the whole of Jesus teaching can be summed up in three words: “Love one another.” Thanks for sharing!

  4. God loved us while we were sinners and I am no better than anyone else. If God can love someone like me, I can surely love others!

  6. Amen. I just posted a blog that says much the same thing – I’m sick of the hate-speech Christians hurl so eagerly at their brothers and sisters in Christ.

I can’t tell you all that blesssings that doing so has brought into my life. However, doing so has brought many to judge me. But I can take it.. because those who judge, they simply do not understand what it means to love.

    Thank you for this post!
