Sunset in Arkansas

When the sun sets in Arkansas,

there is a peaceful stillness in the Ozark hills.

Another day has come to rest…

this simple man has done his best.

My footprints are mixed with the sands of time;

my thoughts are those of a thankful mind.

 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

Psalm 107:1 New Living Translation

  1. I love the Absolutes, the routine and the quotidian ~ I believe the difference is gratitude and humility ~ thank you for a beautiful poem!

  2. As I read this, I can feel a calm replacing the stress. Beautiful!
    Keep the Faith!

    P.S. The photo could have been taken in my own back yard. 🙂

Thank you for your thoughts.
