The Choice is Yours Alone

“And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul?” (Matthew 16:26)

One soul…one moment…one choice…

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way.” (Matthew 7:13)

(Scripture from the New Living Translation)

~~~
In John 14:6, Jesus tells us that He is the Way…that He is the Truth…that He is the Life…and that no man comes to the Father without Him. Plain truth that cannot be changed or reasoned away.
One soul…one moment…one choice…and the choice is yours alone.
  1. I wish that more people would realize this. I get discouraged when I constantly hear people blaming OTHERS or GOD for bad choices they’ve made. Don’t ask why God feels far away when you’re the one who’s taken a left turn and gone a hundred miles off the course He set for you. I’ve re-learned this in the past six months and I’ll probably need a refresher course in the future. Loved the post. Sandy
    Butch, you pack more meat and truth into fewer words than any other Christian blogger I read. Wonderful nuggets of truth I can meditate on all day. Thank you, my friend.
  5. “I don’t want to gain the whole world and lose my soul” is one of my favorite modern Gospel songs.
    Have a listen … please don’t let the edgy approach throw you off — the words are so powerful!
