Thoughts on a Blank Piece of Paper

Staring at a blank paper and hoping for inspiration,

Is like staring at the snow and hoping for a flower.

Quoting scripture is easy; applying it to life is difficult.

Walking in the Spirit is not a role in a play.

Intellectual knowledge of God will die with the body,

Heartfelt knowledge of God will live forever.

Religion is ritualistic repetition,

Faith is one unknown step after another.

Thinking you will get to heaven without Jesus

Is like trying to entering a building with no door.

  1. Great analogies, Butch. I liked the snow/flower, and of course, the building with no door. Have a blessed week.

  2. Someone can quote scripture till the cows come home … but if they don’t live the words they are useless.

…enter a building with no door. Great analogy, Butch.
