The Beating of Your Heart

~

“I came to listen and in the quiet…I heard the beating of my heart.”

~

Find a time when your movements and thoughts can cease; “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)

…when your heart and soul can rest; “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;… (Psalm 23:2)

…when everything is as it should be; “…He leadeth me beside the still waters.” (Psalm 23:2)

…when you can hear the beating of your heart. “He restoreth my soul…” (Psalm 23:3)

Let me share a little post that really ministered encouragement to me this morning. It’s from my friend Butch who writes at Wordsmith’s Desk.

  7. Butch, this gave me such an effective way to see my life through the lens of God’s word! “when everything is as it should be”. . . it’s easy to let those moments slip by without acknowledging that God is giving me respite from the world and a great opportunity to delight in His fellowship.
Thanks so much for this 😉
