The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need. (Psalm 23:1 NLT)
To be a Christian is to know the Shepherd and to know the shepherd is to have everything you need. One gets into briars and thickets when wants become confused with needs. Focus on the Shepherd; be thankful for His care and learn to be content for with Him, you have everything you need.
I have felt I have had everything I need just by being blessed with the spirit of contentment in my heart – God bless!

This was part of my devotion today. Thought it went right along with this. “…that trusting in God means not only believing that God will provide for our needs, but that whatever He provides is actually what is best for us, out of His riches in glory. I saw my job situation and fears and plans laid out in front of me, and realized I hadn’t really been trusting God with this. I trusted things would work out because they always did, because I’m smart and flexible, but I didn’t believe that if I were unemployed, it would be because it was the best thing for me from the glorious riches of Christ.” Do we see all things as a gift from God? Even if those things aren’t what we want? Learning to be content is learning that God is good all the time
