The Gift of God

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Jesus is the Way to heaven…Salvation is His Gift.

You can’t earn, beg, borrow, buy, steal, join, inherit or work your way to heaven…it is the gift of God…least any man should boast.

  4. So thankful that we don’t have to earn our place with God…it is so freeing to know that it is His grace alone that brings us into His presence! Thanks for this reminder!

  5. It will be a glorious New Year, as, with Paul, we, each and everyday, set out to work out our Salvation in fear and trembling, for the gift needs to be unwrapped, apprehended and donned, so we be beautiful wedding guests, no, more than guests, brides. May we be clothed in Christ and allow God to work in each of us for His good pleasure and purpose. Happy Holy New Year!

  6. We do need to learn to be better receivers of His good and gracious gifts. Thank you Lord that that is always MORE that you want to share with us and show us. Let us come with thankfulness and expectancy! Blessings to your New Year Butch and Bonnie!
