The Easy Years

cropped-cropped-cropped-cropped-img_07871.jpgThe years from birth to 8th grade graduation were the years of carefree days and the comfort of family. There were few responsibilities to speak of, maybe a yard to mow, dishes to wash, trash to tend to and keeping up with your studies kept you in good standing with your mom and dad. An allowance of a quarter or fifty cents a week was a big deal…those were the days. How quickly they went by…those days of youth…so long ago.

Thinking back to the “summers of our youth” can provide a place of rest from the cares of our present days. Give yourself that time to remember.

He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
(Psalm 103:5 NLT)
