The Futility of Man’s Wisdom

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1Corinthians 1:18)

Christ crucified is intellectual knowledge to some and foolishness to others, but to those who believe with their heart, the power of God.

How many profess to be wise, yet become foolish to miss the cross. It is not the intellect, but the heart that finds the way to Calvary. It is not man’s wisdom, but God’s love that makes the difference. Eternity will echo with the cries of the lost: the futility of man’s wisdom.

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. (1Corinthians:21)
