The Best Day Yet

cropped-cropped-cropped-cropped-cropped-1831.jpgSomeone is informed by their Oncologist that they have 6 months to live. You emphasize with them, trying to imagine the impact in their life…in yours, if it was you with only six months to live. You care, but are glad that it isn’t you…or is it?

Do you know how long you have to live? A day…six months…six years…twenty…? Unless you have been told you have a specific time left because of a terminal illness, your time left in this life is unknown.

In either situation, death will eventually come. What you do have is waking up to a new day in your life. Maybe it will be the last…maybe not. What you can know for certain is that you are here in a new day.

Why not live this day as if it were your last. Not with the idea of “eat, drink and be merry”, but with purpose, appreciation and consideration; with thankfulness and hope…with love. This is a day that the Lord has made…He has you in it once more. Why not make it the best day yet?

Can you imagine a much better life where you will never die? There is one and here is the Door [Jesus] to that life. If you have not accepted Jesus into your life as Savior and Lord, today would be a good time for tomorrow isn’t promised anyone.

For God so loved the world [you and I] that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever [you and I] believes on Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. ~from the Gospel of John 3:16 ~
