The Silence of Peace

He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
(Psalm 23:2 NLT)

In our world today, there is a greater “rumble” of busyness than ever before. We tend to hurry here and scurry there, somehow trying to win an imaginary race that takes place between sunrise and sunset. Even then, many scurry on into the night.

If we would only stop this endless motion and take back our lives. If we would only find a quiet place beside a small brook, even if it’s only in our minds; listen to the calming silence and hear the beating of our heart…finding peace for the moment.

  1. Hoping you find peace in the season, my friend! We all need less busyness, or maybe just better boundaries and priorities to keep the noise out? ~ Sheila
