Christmas Hope

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

It is traditional this time of year to read the story of “a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” Familiar is the account of the birth of the Christ child.

I have heard the story of Mary and Joseph, the Wise Men and the Shepherds since early childhood. Each year, during Christmas, the story unfolds once more.

The Christmas holidays are a joyous time, but for some, they are a time of despair and hopelessness…more so than any other time of year.

It is my wish that this story of Christmas Hope can be real to all, not just a traditional story told each year and that the Love and Peace of the season will stay with each one in the coming year.
