“Do not fret” is repeated three times by the 8th verse of Psalm 37. Within the first eight verses, the reader is directed to “Trust in the Lord, Delight yourself in the Lord, Commit your way to the Lord, Rest in the Lord, Cease from anger and Forsake wrath.” There is much more; take a few minutes and read for yourself.
In just the first eight verses of one Psalm, there is a “goldmine” of advice from the Creator God, Father God, Almighty God, or whatever name you choose. If you read nothing else, these eight verses will give you a lifetime of direction.
I surely encourage you to read much more from God’s word. Look at it this way; the Bible is like a letter from God to you. Do you understand the privilege it is to receive a letter from the great I Am?
He writes to you as a Father to tell you what you need to know. Some of the letter is hard to understand, I agree, but read what you can understand. If you only read, “Do not fret”, then follow that direction knowing that “you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” …close your eyes…listen to His gentle voice saying, “Do not fret.”
