One Day at a Time

We often move at the pace of jet airplanes in our daily lives. Busy paces rule the roost. Even when there is nothing to do, the wheels spin looking for something to occupy our time… appearing as gerbils in a wheel.

Just for today, focus on your surroundings, the blessings in your life, those you care about and what is important to you; forgetting yesterday and with no worries about tomorrow, just focus on today…just for today.

Then, do the same tomorrow and the next day and the one after that, until a new pattern begins to appear, one of living your life instead of it living you… one day at a time.

  1. No matter how we try, one day at a time is all that is truly possible. We ought to learn to enjoy life as God designed it.

  3. For example, stop & smell the roses, right? And the roses are the people we love, the trees, the smell of spring.
I agree about the rushing all the time. A lot of people I talk to on the phone talk so fast I have no idea what they’re saying!
