Memories Last a Lifetime

Summer days, a little boy and a dog linger on the back roads of my mind. The time was called “forever” and everything was perfect.

The creek seemed as large as any proud river and it belong to us, my dog and me. We explored its shores as far as we could see. The creek became a part of us. Pal and I lived to be together and to experience each day as it came. We couldn’t wait to get out and going each morning.

Summer days pass all too soon, as do boys and dogs…

but memories last a lifetime.
