A Still Small Voice

And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. 1 Kings 19:12

We, so often, expect fanfare, writing on the wall, a display of power or a booming voice from heaven to answer our prayers…to show us the way. Silence is not what we want after requesting…we want an answer. Yet, silence remains.

Without, there is noise; within, a still small voice. If we will not quiet the noise, how do we expect to hear the whisper of a still small voice.

God is not limited to how He responds to His children…

it is rather the children who limit the Father.
