The Free Will Choice

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1) “Believing without seeing” is the only faith God recognizes.

Jesus says, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:3)

It requires child-like faith to find the door to heaven, it requires a heart-felt repentant sinner to kneel at the cross and know that Jesus took your place. He has paid the perfect price for the forgiveness of your sins. You need to accept that forgiveness to gain heaven.

You could not obey a perfect law. You could do nothing of yourself to gain heaven. There needed to be a perfect sacrifice. Jesus is that perfect sacrifice. You cannot add to it by works or affiliation. You can only accept the undeserved, unearned forgiveness Jesus offers you.

God loved you as much as He ever will at Calvary…He knew your name…He died for you. He asks you to accept that and live for Him. He asks that you love Him in return…give Him your heart and your life. Do not let His sacrifice for you be in vain.

God gave you a free will. God loves you so much that He chances losing you. He wants you to choose to love Him of your own free will…not out of a compulsion you did not choose. The choice is yours. No one or nothing else can gain heaven for you.

Search the scriptures with your heart, not your mind. Ask the Holy Spirit to open the truth of God’s word to you. Thank Jesus for the forgiveness He offers, accept it and ask Him to live in your heart as your Lord and Savior.

Amen!
