Once Upon A Yesterday

A bridge not far away,

Relic from another day.

A place I used to play,

Once upon a yesterday.

 

Footprints in the dirt,

On a path from long ago.

Memories whisper in the trees,

From a place I used to know.

 

Meadows once in bloom,

Scattered by the winds of time.

Laughter lingers in the air,

Echoes of a childish rhyme.

 

The place where I grew up,

It seems so far away.

But close my eyes and I can see,

Once upon a yesterday.
