It was a memory, I suppose,
that brought me to this place and time,
this moment of silent peace within a storm of noise.
The quiet solitude, masked by a soft mist,
is the friend I have been looking for.
If only I could stay here
in the caressing arms of this moment.

It’s not how you treat me when I am in the room,
but rather if you even think of me when I’m not.
It’s not how you treat me on my birthday,
but how you treat me on all of my un-birthdays.
It’s not how you think you care about me,
but that you show me that you care.
It’s not how much time we spend together,
but rather the memories that remain.
Of all the things that you think might matter,
The above thoughts are what really matter.

“…And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26)
A Christian is a born again believer, a Christ-follower who accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord…not with their head, but with their heart. Without this new birth, you will not see the kingdom of heaven. It doesn’t matter what race or religion or denomination or other ideas, no matter how noble, you may have…the only way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ. Humanity may have many facets; God does not. He is a God of love and forgiveness. That is the whole point of the cross. If you do not accept that forgiveness and make a decision to follow Christ, you will be lost for all eternity. This is not open for discussion with God; it is His word.
The word of God is overflowing with many scriptures and statements that Jesus made. Search them out, with the heart, not the head; with child-like faith, not adult reasoning; with “believing without seeing” faith…not a mind seeking proof.
Search the scriptures with your heart, not your mind. Ask the Holy Spirit to open the truth of God’s word to you. Thank Jesus for the forgiveness He offers, accept it and ask Him to live in your heart as your Lord and Savior. Amen!
