Loosely translated, Auld Lang Syne might say, “for ( the sake of ) old times.”
Each new year and more often than that, my thoughts return to yesterday.
~~~
“I can walk along the back roads of my memories anytime:
And find so many waiting thoughts, these shadows in my mind.
The mist of once upon a time will always have its say;
As friends and families gather in those years of yesterday.”
~~~
The last verse of a poem I wrote, “Those Years of Yesterday.”
For each of you, the best of thoughts for the coming year.
Your poem reminds me to stroll the happy times of days gone by with my David; it brings a little comfort from the constant pain.
Blessings ~ Maxi

So poignant Brother….LOVE the poem. I can picture writing this to something like Yanni’s “One Man’s Dream”. Happy new year to you both.
