Waiting for the sun to rise and listening for the sounds of spring, these are my chores this morning. The coffee is brewing on the stove and paper in hand, ready for the day.
Spring will be early this year; I feel it in my bones. Saw some robins in the yard yesterday; a sure sign of spring. The tulips are peeking through the ground, readying their burst of seasonal color.
The crispness in the air makes the coffee taste better. This porch is a perfect spot to observe the start of a new day. The morning is peaceful and still, but the quiet will soon be broken with the business of the day. Like a calm before the storm, early morning is witnessed by very few.
Pine trees lend freshness to the early morning air as the wind whistles through their tops. Soon, the eastern sky will be ablaze with morning light; a new day begins. Time for another cup of “Joe.”

Looking at something from a different perspective can make all the difference.
Often, we tend to see or believe something from a certain point of view and find it difficult to look at it any other way. We begin to close our mind to other possibilities. We become firm in our beliefs.
Sometimes, what we believe is less than the reality of the situation. Sometimes, what we believe is wrong. The ability to see the situation from a different perspective and to have an open mind to other options is wise. A step in one direction or the other can make all the difference.
Maybe, it is time for a different perspective.
