Satan is not after non-believers, he already has them. He is after believers to put their “Lights” out, so that non-believers will remain in darkness.
Jesus said, “I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.” (John 12:46 NIV)
Jesus also said, “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 NIV)
Words are heard, not seen, while actions are seen, not heard. A light shines in darkness to show the way. Each believer is such a light. “Let your light shine.”

For years I said that Satan does not go into pubs and brothels, they are doing his bidding. It is the churches and temples that he invades.

One of my favorite challenges is that we be salt and light…such clear illustrations of how we should be living, and I like the very practical and down to earth quality of these instructions. I think we forget (believers) that we are the targets of the devil…frightening and sobering. ~ Sheila

If our actions don’t match our words all we are to non-Christians is a flashlight with dead batteries.
